Reports – Stoneygate Nursery School

Each September at the beginning of each academic year, Stoneygate produces a School Improvement Plan. This is developed using information gathered from attainment data and feedback from stakeholders including staff, governors, parents, carers and children. This information is used to evaluate the impact of our work and identify key areas for development over the coming year.

The Children’s Centre also has improvement priorities based on consultation with stakeholders, partner agencies, parents and children and focuses upon meeting the needs of children and families living in the local reach area.
Progress towards meeting these improvement plans is regularly monitored and reported to the governing body.
In August, the school Governors publish a report to parents in accordance with the Articles of Governance for Nursery Schools providing an overview of the work undertaken by the school during the academic year.

Governors Annual Report Sept 2016

Nursery schools follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework supporting children’s learning and development. Children’s progress and attainment is monitored and tracked throughout their pre-school year. At the end of the reception year in primary school, an EYFS Profile is completed for each child. This profile provides parents/carers, practitioners and teachers with a detailed picture of childrens knowledge, understanding and abilities, their progress against expected levels, and their readiness for Year 1 of the National Curriculum.
Schools also report on their use of their Pupil Premium allocation and the impact upon children’s learning.
