Hungry Birdies

Hello! We are going to doing the RSPB Big Garden Bird watch next week.

Here’s a poem- ‘Hungry Birdies’ from the poetry basket that we will be learning. If you’re at home, you can learn the poem with the actions- and do the big garden bird watch from your window, garden or when you’re out getting exercise on a nice walk.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more bird activities 🦅 🐦

Hungry Birdies

I have built a little nest, look inside, look inside.

Hungry birdies with their beaks, open wide, open wide.

And the little birdies grow, day by day by day.

‘Till they spread their wings and fly, far away, far away.

We’d love children to use their fingers to poke, pinch, stretch and roll the play-dough- all great exercises to develop their fine motor skills. Why not put some music on and have your very own dough-disco! 🕺🏻

I don’t even remember playing with it, but just the making of it with her was enough of a powerful...Re... ... See more
